Kitchen Remodeling – Phase Two

Rearranging

Rearranging

Here we go again.  Our cabinets and counter tops in the kitchen are finished and the last thing we’ve been waiting on was the painter. Well, guess what?  It’s time to strip the wallpaper off the walls and get those walls painted.  Of course, this means that we’ve had to re-stage some of our kitchen things like the microwave and the coffee pots.

We’ve also had to empty out those cabinets that we so carefully placed into the kitchen so that we can move them temporarily back into the dining room.  Our occasional table that we’d had on order had just arrived so that has been delegated to sitting in front of the fireplace where we’ve piled some pots and pans on it.

Sunroom Storage

We’ve taken down all of the pictures from the wall, as well as the switchplates and hooks.  The rest of the assorted pans and pots that we had stored on the open-faced cabinets along that window wall are now out in the sunroom.

Now comes the fun part…stripping wallpaper.  I can’t tell you how glad I am that I don’t have to do it this time.  I HATE stripping wallpaper and something tells me that this wallpaper in particular is not going to come down easily.  I hope I’m wrong.
