Having Fun with Minifigure Photography

Catching up on the news

Catching up on the news

Several weeks ago, I read a short article about a person who took quite a few photographs in many different settings of a small LEGO figure.  The photos were taken down at “eye level” with the little guy which gave everything in the background quite a unique perspective.

As I puttered around the house this morning, I thought about that article and decided that it would be fun to take something small (in this case, Cooper the Cow, a little mascot that has been with me for quite a few years) and to attempt to capture Cooper in different scenarios through my day.  First up, Cooper joined me as I caught up on the news via Flipboard on my iPad.

Then I rested my eyes for a few minutes while I contemplated what book I’d jump into on my Kindle over breakfast.

How about some coffee?

Cooper reminded me that I hadn’t had my first sip of coffee yet which could have had something to do with my general hazy stupor so bright and early this a.m.

“No, Cooper, I think that mug might be a tad too big for you to push over to me but thanks anyway.  It’s the thought that counts.”

After a few sips of my k-cup brew, it was time to put my pancake-covered sausage bites into the microwave and warm them up.

Ah, NOW we’re cooking!  A good book on the Kindle, a good breakfast smothered in maple syrup and coffee within reach.

I wonder what Coop will get into tomorrow?  If you’d like to see another article about the amazing world of miniature figures photography, click here.  These are even tinier little figures and the photos are pretty awesome.
