A Baby’s iPhone Fascination

Huh?

Huh?

We visited our littlest grandson yesterday and I spent a lot of time hovering around him snapping pictures with my iPhone.  I have it set up to make a shutter sound when I snap a picture and between the sound and the bright orange color of my phone case, he was very distracted by it all.  If an “almost 4-month-old” could talk, here is what I imagine he would say:

Enthralled

Enthralled

“What IS that, Grandma?  It’s so bright and pretty and it is making the neatest noises.”

I won't touch it

I won’t touch it

“I won’t touch it but I would really like to just take a closer look at it.”

Can I Touch?

Can I Touch?

“OK, maybe I WILL touch it if you’ll just move it a little bit closer to me.  I’d love to get my hands on it.”

How does it work?

How does it work?

“What exactly does it do?  Mommy and Daddy have one of those, too.”

Look at the pictures!

Look at the pictures!

“OOOH, look at all of those pretty little pictures on it.  What happens if I put one little finger on one picture?”

Blog1

“Aw, come on.  I won’t do anything to it.  Can’t I at least chew on it a little?”

Hmph! I don't have any fun.

Hmph! I don’t have any fun.

“Aw gee, nobody let’s me have any fun.  All I get are stupid rubber giraffes or plastic keys.  I want an iPhone!”
